Vanguard Lending Group was founded by President David Garretson in 1994 as a retail mortgage brokerage specializing in Conventional, VA and FHA home loans.

Prior to founding Vanguard, Mr. Garretson had professional experience in mortgage lending, construction lending, construction supervision, mutual funds and life insurance. Vanguard Lending Group, Inc. is a California Corporation and was incorporated in 1995.

In 1999 Vanguard Lending Group, Inc. began to offer fractionalized trust deed investments to private investors funding residential construction loans. This business soon began to expand and by 2002 it grew to be the primary business of the company.

Vanguard Construction Investors, LLC was formed in 2003 in order to meet growing demand for trust deed investments and for construction/development financing. This mortgage pool funds an ever growing share of our overall construction loan business.
